CURBING THE MENACE OF RAGGING
- Ragging is a criminal offence and is strictly prohibited ragging in all its firms is totally banned the campus. As per order of hon'ble supreme court and UGC regulation 2009, Ragging is a Cognizable offence under the low on a par with rape and other atrocities. Anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, will have to face any one or more of the following
PUNISHMENT
- FIR with Police
- Fine ranging from Rs. 25,000/- to 1,00,000/
- Debarring from appearing in examination.
- Debarring from Campus Placement.
- Entry on the Character Certificate regarding punishments received.
- Rustication/Expulsion from Hostel/Institute
The anti-ragging cell is being constituted and the mobile numbers of anti-ragging cell members are prominently displayed in the notice boards. The anti-ragging squad conducts regular and surprise visits to the hostels, library, food court, sport facilities and ensure the freshers are comfortable.
The newly admitted students should submit anti-ragging undertaking online/produce anti-ragging affidavit on a stamp paper as per the direction of Supreme Court of India...
