G.N.M (3 Years Diploma Course) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

Minimum Education:

a. 10+2 class passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks. 

b. 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science- Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/ CBSE /ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks. 

c. 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.

 • Student shall be medically fi t.

 • Student qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health care Science Vocational stream ONLY conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks

• Student shall be admitted once in a year.


Program Outcomes:

On completion of GNM Diploma course, nurse will be able to:
  • Demonstrate competency in providing health care to individual, sick or well, using nursing process.
  1. Assess the nursing need of clients from birth of death.
  2. Plan and carry out appropriate action to meet nursing needs.
  3. Provide effective nursing care for decision- making of health in all aspects.
  4. Promote self-care in people under their care.
  5. Apply problem solving techniques in nursing practice.
  6. Assess the effectiveness of nursing care.
  • Utilize knowledge from the humanities, biological and behavioral sciences to perform nursing duties.
  • Collaborate effectively with members of the health team and community utilizing the knowledge of human relations and communication skills in the role as a Nurse.
  • Participate as member of the health team in delivery of curative preventive, promotive and rehabilitative health care service.
  • Mobilize community resources and their involvement in health care initiatives.
  • Demonstrate use of ethical values in their personal and professional life.
  • Display interest in the activities of professional organizations.
  • Recognize the need of continuing education for professional growth
  • Demonstrate basic skills in teaching patients and giving nursing care to them.
  • Exhibit basic skills in administration and leadership while working with other members of health team and the community.
  • Assist in research endeavors.
